Code of Conduct

Rocky Spikes Volleyball Club (RSVC) expects respectful, safe, and appropriate behaviour from athletes, parents, guardians, coaches, volunteers, spectators, and other participants in all club activities.

PURPOSE

This Code supports a positive, safe, respectful, and development-focused sport environment.

WHO THIS CODE APPLIES TO

This Code applies to athletes, parents, guardians, coaches, volunteers, staff, spectators, and other participants.

CORE STANDARDS OF BEHAVIOUR

All participants are expected to uphold the following standards:

Treat others with respect and dignity
Be inclusive and welcoming
Demonstrate good sportsmanship
Act with honesty and integrity
Cooperate with coaches, officials, and teammates
Follow rules, policies, and instructions

ATHLETES

Athletes are expected to give their best effort, use respectful language, follow safety directions, care for equipment and facilities, and represent RSVC in a positive and appropriate manner at all times.

PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

Parents and guardians will communicate respectfully, support coaches and officials, model appropriate sideline behaviour, and help athletes understand and follow club expectations.

COACHES, VOLUNTEERS AND PERSONS IN AUTHORITY

Coaches, volunteers, and persons in authority will act with professionalism, maintain appropriate boundaries, safeguard athletes, role model positive behaviour, and comply with all applicable screening and Safe Sport requirements.

SPECTATORS AND SUPPORTERS

Spectators and supporters will provide positive encouragement, respect all participants and officials, and refrain from abusive, harassing, or disruptive behaviour.

DIGITAL COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA

All members will engage respectfully online, protect privacy, and avoid posting or sharing content that is harmful, inappropriate, or likely to bring the club, its members, or the sport into disrepute.

PROHIBITED CONDUCT

The following behaviour is prohibited:

Bullying
Harassment
Discrimination
Abuse (physical, emotional, sexual)
Retaliation
Threatening behaviour
Unsafe conduct
Damage to property

RESPONSE TO BREACHES

RSVC may take appropriate action, as determined in accordance with applicable club policies and procedures.

REPORTING CONCERNS

Concerns about breaches of this Code should be directed to the applicable club complaint or Safe Sport reporting process.
