Rocky Spikes Volleyball Club (RSVC) is committed to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all participants. We encourage prompt reporting of safety, maltreatment, or serious conduct concerns.
COMMITMENT TO SAFE SPORT
RSVC promotes a safe, respectful, and development-focused
youth sport environment.
WHEN TO SEEK IMMEDIATE EMERGENCY HELP
Immediate danger, urgent medical issues, or threats to safety should be
directed to emergency services or the appropriate emergency authority.
CONCERNS THAT SHOULD BE REPORTED
Concerns should be reported when they involve any of the following:
- Abuse
- Maltreatment
- Harassment
- Discrimination
- Bullying
- Boundary violations
- Retaliation
- Serious safety concerns
CLUB-LEVEL REPORTING
Some concerns may be reported directly to the club in writing
to info@rockyspikes.com.
VOLLEYBALL BC AND INDEPENDENT REPORTING PATHWAYS
Where a concern falls within Volleyball BC’s jurisdiction, relates to a Volleyball BC-sanctioned activity, or would be more appropriately handled independently of RSVC, the matter may be referred to Volleyball BC, SafeZone, or another applicable independent reporting or complaint process.
RSVC will seek to direct participants to the appropriate reporting pathway based on the nature and circumstances of the concern. Nothing in this process prevents an individual from contacting Volleyball BC or an applicable independent reporting service directly.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY
RSVC will handle information respectfully and only share it
where reasonably necessary.
NO RETALIATION
RSVC does not support retaliation against anyone who
raises a concern in good faith.
SUPPORT AND RESPECT FOR PARTICIPANTS
Athletes and families should be treated with care, fairness, and respect
when concerns are raised.
RECORDKEEPING AND FOLLOW-UP
RSVC may maintain reasonable records and take follow-up steps
appropriate to the concern.
